Ten-Day Dawn Celebration was held in Mashhad Province by the provincial chamber of cooperatives . Top cooperative figures such as Mashad province secretary of chamber of cooperatives, counselor of minister of cooperative, labor, and social welfare and the like clarified issues such as resistance economy, women cooperatives and their prominent role in Iran's economy.

Mashad province chamber of cooperative held a meeting on the role of women cooperative on resistance economy. Ten-day dawn celebrations mark the victory of Iranian revolution in toppling Shah Regime which starts from 31th Jan. – 10 thFeb. Dr.Farahani- counselor of the Minister of Cooperative, labor and social welfare voiced: women in Iran have been spearheads in different fields, especially in preservation and continuation of the revolution achievements and have had a pivotal role in it.

Mr.Rasavian Rad- Secretary of Mashad Province chamber of cooperatives and ICC member of board of directors- said: there are 1800 women cooperative societies in the province with 70000 members. He also reiterated that the share of cooperatives in GDP is less than 10% which should be raised to 25 % of GDP till the end of 5-year development plan. To this end, we need capacity building for coops, programming, ground making and confidence building to attract the government's confidence towards coops. Elsewhere in his remarks he pointed  resistance economy; Tasks should be transferred to people in resistance economy-the concept that  the supreme leader of Iran called for, to side step sanctions. He went on to say that no other form of legal economy has such capacity to take full responsibility of the resistance economy.  Dr.Farahani added: in resistance economy concepts such as self-help, self-sufficiency, independence, and promotion of consumption pattern are reiterated. This will be realized through adopting full potential of women and development of coop culture plus people participation.
 
Mr.Besharati also stated that one of the ways to sidestep sanctions is people participation in coops and home jobs.
 
The meeting ended with a Q and A session on cooperatives and the role of women.
